Amazon sells MP3 for 29p each or Top Albums from £3

According to the guardian and in fact amazons site.

Including some great ones such as

The giant online retailer Amazon declared an MP3 price war yesterday by slashing the price of many top-selling downloads in an attempt to grab a bigger slice of the legal music download market.

In a move seen by experts as an aggressive attempt to steal custom from its rival itunes, Amazon cut the price of more than 100 tracks – including Lily Allen’s The Fear and Lady GaGa’s Poker Face – to 29p.

On the bargain list, which spans pop, hip-hop, rock, classical and jazz, music fans can also find older tracks such as Oasis’s Wonderwall, the Dambusters March played by the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Neil Young’s Rockin’ in the Free World for up to 70p less than on Apple’s iTunes. Amazon, which also offers albums for as little as £3 said the reductions were being made indefinitely.

Now, do I want a Landrover Defender SVX?

I just had an email from Landrover trying to sell me one of those Defender SVX (they from the 60th anniversary)

I thought they came out a few years ago and they were special edition, looks like they can’t sell them..

“For a limited time this exclusive vehicle is available with a £1,000 customer saving*. ”

They look great but then you think is it just the chrome and the posh seats, anyway I am not in the market for one (I can’t afford it anyway).

90 Soft Top, 90 Station Wagon. Both with the acclaimed 2.4 litre diesel engine producing an impressive 360Nm of torque.

With an exterior finished in Satorini Black with unique silver detailing complemented by diamond turned 16 inch alloy wheels and a Titan finish front grille this is a Defender that will get noticed.

And the interior is equally dramatic with Recaro front seats, machined aluminium gear and differential knobs. A new audio system and Garmin GPS satellite navigation ensure the technology matches the looks.

But if anyway has a Camper van for sale for £1k in great nick I may bite! 😉

Food: Southern (Wales) fried turkey

Fancied some comfort food for lunch.

as I needed to eat some turkey from the fridge, and I had breadcrumbs I thought fried turkey..

Just cut the turkey into odd strips and then dipped in egg, and the breadcrumbs and spice mix, fried for 3 minutes (olive oil & butter) then finished in the oven… and it turned out well… Yum… with some potatoes and spinach warmed though….

FYI the spices included BBQ seasoning, Ras al Hanout and something else which Iam not going to divulge as it’s the sheddies secret wossname.

Beer Notes: Brew Dog – Punk IPA

[flickr]photo:3414094440[/flickr]

Of course this caught my eye due to the punk overtones(or is that undertones!) in the name & label.

I found it to be a bit too bitter but after a few tastes you got used to it and it was lovely and I can see myself quaffing a few of these, plus it was only 99p a bottle in my giant Tesco..

This is what the brewery say about it

A beer of inherent contradiction. This heavy weight of the beer world is strikingly delicate with a white gold appearance. The light fruity aroma dominates the initial confrontation; lychee, kiwi and passionfruit all prevail with subtle nuances of cherry and strawberry.

Don’t be fooled however by this smooth medium bodied ale. As it trickles down your throat as this wolf in sheep’s clothing begins to grow teeth. The bite comes as the bitterness builds and endures no matter how hard the malty sweetness of the alcohol tries to tame this ferocious beast. An exciting beer that will captivate with a whole body drinking experience.

I have heard of BrewDog before (i had their stout somewhere but can’t remember) and they sell the Beer online this one in particular is £12 for a case of 12 a good investment if you can’t get it locally..

Now I wonder if they would give some of this Fine beer away for Shed Week as we now have an official Punk band who Iam sure would love a few pints.

But here are some of the better jokes so far (I did not say they were great)

Twitter switch for Guardian, after 188 years of ink

Consolidating its position at the cutting edge of new media technology, the Guardian today announces that it will become the first newspaper in the world to be published exclusively via Twitter, the sensationally popular social networking service that has transformed online communication.

Warner Bros. Acquires The Pirate Bay
After years of hostility, lawsuits, police raids and heated invective between the two groups, the Pirate Bay has today announced they have settled their differences with US media conglomerate Warner Bros.

Google with their Mobile Brain Search
Is it on the tip of your tongue? Google Brain Search (BETA) uses CADIE technology to index your brain to make your thoughts and memories searchable. Get Google Brain Search in the Google Mobile App to recall:

* the name of that guy across the room
* where you put your car keys
* why you started dating this woman in the first place

My favourite so far is

Thali from last night’s curry club

A few of my friends from work went for a curry and lashings of beer last at a the Gatekeeper in Cardiff, it’s a wetherspoons so we were not expecting top class curry but it’s cheap and normally cheerful.

Anyway James had the same as us, but he was delivered the Thali without any pots and just dumped on the plate, without even an explanation.

What we had (left) what James had (right)

the Beer on the otherhand was fine

but one member of staff was quite rude, even though I have been going there since it opened.
